The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports (FPES) in Prishtina started to operate in the academic year 1979/1980 as an institution aiming to prepare physical education teachers in various fields of physical education and sports.

It is worth mentioning that FPES has been the leading institutionin many vital processes in physical education and sports in Kosovo, despite the challenges it faced.
